We had a visit today from 3 of our past pupils and  we are very proud to say they won the All Ireland Basketball Final!!

Book Character Day

 

            We are having book week at school which involves lovely new books for the children to look at and purchase.

               To launch this event we all came to school dressed as a character from our favourite book.

WHICH SURFACE IS BETTER?

First and Second Class recently conducted an experiment to see which of five surfaces was best for toy cars to travel on, and why. Our criteria for 'best' were: fastest, farthest,straightest. We discussed what should stay the same (strength of push, type of car) and if this was even possible or 100% accurate and why/why not. We all predicted our order for best surface 1-5, and then afterwards we recorded the actual results 1-5. This was a very enjoyable experiment which created plenty of discussion and debate.

School Garden

All the classes have been busy gardening and weeding. Third and Fourth Class invited the fairies to visit their Garden Box..

School Tour   All Classes visited Lets Go Camp and it was a real hit. Third to Sixth class also attended UCC and even graduated!

School Sports Day We had a great day at our school sports day. Well done to all teams especially the Green Team who won the Bryan Harris Cup!

Cork City Sports Congratulations to the all the children who attended the Cork City Sports. We even came home with some silverware!

Pjyama Day Thank you to everyone who contributed to the €1000 we raised for a very sick Junior Infant. We all enjoyed breakfast in school and forgot our school uniforms at home! Even the teachers!!
